COVID-19 remote monitoring support for older people with mental ill-health and their carers
The TIHM Monitoring Service is a new, free NHS service that is remotely monitoring the health of older people with mental ill-health and their carers during Covid-19.
The service, which is currently accepting referrals, is free of charge and available to people of any age diagnosed with dementia or mild cognitive impairment and people aged 65 and over who have a diagnosis of depression and/or anxiety.

There’s a range of information, support and resources specifically targeting older people, which you do not have to speak with your GP about to access. Please visit the Healthy Surrey website to find out about self-help resources available in your local community.

If you have difficulty using public transport, or you just need some support to get out and about, there are a variety of community transport schemes in Surrey that can help including Dial-a-Ride services, along with Good Neighbour schemes which can offer scheduled services or door-to-door transport, e.g. to supermarkets and doctors surgeries.

If you have difficulty getting to your local Surrey library due to ill health, disability, mobility problems or caring responsibilities and still want to enjoy books and audio books then you may be eligible for the Library Direct service.

A free service for anyone over-75 who lives alone and feels they could do with a friendly phone call every week or two. To be eligible for a call companion you should be aged 75 or over, living alone or in sheltered housing and have difficulty getting out in normal times.
